Fifth grade students at Webster, Castle and Richardson elementary schools are participating in STARBASE, a program that develops and utilizes their skills in science, technology, engineering and math. The students spend a week engineering a mission to Mars. STARBASE Minnesota is a non-profit organization that provides free, hands-on STEM programs to students. The program is funded through partnerships with the Department of Defense, the Minnesota Air National Guard, and private corporations.
